Development of astronomical instruments and adaptive optics (AO) systems:
- Adaptive optics system for monitoring observations of solar planets
- Nayoro optical camera and spectrograph (NaCS) of 1.6-m Pirka telescope
- Visible multi-spectral imager (MSI) of 1.6-m Pirka telescope
- Polarimetry function of Infrared camera and spectrograph (IRCS) of Subaru telescope
- Laser-guide star adaptive optics system of Subaru telescope (AO188/LGS)
- Wide field grism spectrograph 2 (WFGS2) of University of Hawaii 2.2-m telescope (UH88)
- Simultaneous visible and near-infrared camera and spectrograph (TRISPEC)
Observational Studies with the above instruments and others:
- Magnetic fields in star forming clusters
- Study of formation mechanism of star clusters with T Tau star survey
- Study of structure and radiation of central region of active galactic nuclei (AGNs) with monitoring observations
- Study of dusts in active galactic nuclei (AGNs) with polarimetry
